The Valenciana Mine produced the majority of the silver in Guanajuato and the majority of the silver that was exported to Spain and Asia. I was afraid I was going to fall down the stairs in the mine! They were more dangerous than the ones at Teotihuacan, and that's really saying something! But anyways, it was pretty cool to be able to see the mine.
And here are some pictures from when we visited the church. It was gorgeous!
